College Live In Program
Major Requirements
- Must maintain their own mailing address. OLTVFD is not be responsible you mail.
- Maintain a full time student status (12 or more credits per semester) & at least a 2.5 GPA
- Must respond to emergency calls during their assigned schedule or others to which they are certified. Discretion is to be used for calls 2.0 hours prior to necessary engagements or appointments i/e classes, test etc.
- Must reach an EMT Status within eight months.
- Required to give two full weekends a month to respond on emergency calls. This period will start at 10:00 P.M. Friday and end at 10:00P.M. Sunday.
- Required to complete assigned duties or chores & attend at least 6 monthly meetings.

18 years or older
Valid drivers license & personal mode of transportation
Certified a EMT, FIRST RESPONDER or HIGHER
Valid CPR, First Aid (If not certified as stated above applicant will have one year to certify)
Enrolled Full Time College student in one of the local colleges
What Is It?

Old Lycoming Township Volunteer Fire Company has implemented an EMT / FIREFIGHTER LIVE-IN PROGRAM. To better serve our community, in maximizing our effective services to our township.
This program is targeted toward interested college students and essentially offers free housing to the acceptable applicant in exchange for a commitment to respond to the department fire, rescue and ambulance calls.
