Events included: Fire Prevention Poster Awards to Hepburnville Elementary students. 2 controlled fires. Mock cars crash with station 14.

The controlled fire exercise was demonstrated first; a simulated room was set to flames. In 4 min's & 23 sec's,  flames were rocketing sky high, & room destroyed. The children & parents were in shock.  Firemen standing by, put the fire out. The 2nd room, flames were set.  Sprinkler systems went off after 16secs. The room was left intact.  After both simulations, the crowds examined the rooms. Deputy Chief/Police Officer Joseph Hope explained the dynamic and effects of the fire in each room.
