Station 14 is in the process of putting a command vehicle in-service which will have the radio designation of Battalion 14. Battalion 14 is a 2012 GMC 2500HD with crew cab and A.R.E. walk-in truck cap. The unit will have multiple radios and a mobile radio repeater. It’s primary use will be to supply the Officers of Station 14 with a Command Post at Incidents. Stay tune for more updates and photos.

County Definition of :

BATTALION – a vehicle that responds to an incident and can be used as an incident command post or  to support incident command functional areas ( operations, water supply, rehabilitation as examples).  Equipment carried should include but not be limited to:  Command Board(s), Radios, SCBA, a Multi-gas meter, and a  thermal imaging camera.  Staffing should be at least one Chief or Station officer.
