On Saturday September 3, 2011 Alpha Fire invited SQUAD 14 to run 1st due in State College.  Due to the large crowd of spectators for the opening game, Penn State vs Indiana, SQUAD 14 and crew of 7 were invited to cover all 1st due assignments. SQUAD 14 handled 3 incidents during the day.  A fire in a college dorm hallway with extension to the ceiling, an automatic alarm at a local church and an odor investigation on the eighth floor of a student housing facility.  also during half time of the game, 2 EMTs from the SQUAD crew along with 2 Alpha EMTs assisted at Beaver Stadiums First Aid Station, when the attending medical staff was inundated with victims of the scorching heat.
